I've been fabric printing. Experimenting for the handprinted fabric swap III, run by Leslie Keating. I thought quilting was addictive, but now I can't stop thinking about stamp designs! And I've even made a wee screen for screen printing and had a play with that too. Fun!
It's amazing what some craft foam, a hot glue gun and scrap of wood can produce in the way of a stamp. I thought it would be complicated, and I have carved a stamp (the circle of spirals) with a soft carving block and lino cutting tools, but the simpler stamps I've made are just as effective, if not more so.
I'm in love.

I'm quilting another quilt at the moment. It's another one that I'm hoping to have accepted for the Taupo Symposium exhibition.
Consequently, I can't show it to you besides these little peeks!
It's called Tui at Dawn. Do you think I've got the colours and feeling right?

Today I'm brewing,
Brewing: a ginger beer bug.
Baking: two ginger-crunch cakes, one for the School Regatta tomorrow, one for the pantry tins.
Binding: My tree of life quilt. Do you like my faux piping? Or would you call it a flange? A decorative edging? Whatever you call it, I like it, and I especially like that I got it pretty neat and tidy. Two corners are done, two to go. Do you measure your progress on hand-stitching binding like that?
